SimpleSurvey is entirely designed, developed, hosted and supported in Canada. Our servers reside in highly-secure, state-of-the-art data centers located in Canada that meet strict government regulations for hosted services. You can rest assured that all of your valuable data is securely stored and managed in Canada only, and is protected by Canada’s strict privacy laws.

We understand that when you, our customer, use our services, you entrust us with your most valuable asset—your data.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of your data and using it only in a manner that is consistent with your expectations.

We continually assess our practices in risk, security, and incident management; access control; data integrity protection; and other areas relative to best practices and recommendations from external clients, auditors, vendors, government agencies and other sources, and implement changes when and where necessary.

We abide by Canadian privacy laws* that seek to protect the privacy of individuals, and give them the right to access information gathered about them. The laws require organizations to take reasonable steps to safeguard information in their custody or control, and cover personal information that is held and processed by governments and private organizations in data files, registers, and elsewhere.

While as per our Master Service Agreement, the ultimate responsibility and ownership of personal data lies with our business customers, we commit that we have implemented security safeguards to help them protect the privacy of the data and individuals.

You are responsible for keeping your user account details and password confidential. We will not ask you for your password.

The data you enter and collect using SimpleSurvey is retained as long as you maintain an active account.

We make daily backups of all your data in our system for the sole purpose of maintaining business operations in the event of an emergency or disaster. The backups are encrypted and retained for no more than 30 days.

Data that you delete from the system using the software through normal use (ex. by deleting individual responses, initialising a project, deleting a project, etc.) is immediately and permanently removed from our production database.
